Barbara Fazio has been developing her knowledge for over 20 years as a freelance hair and makeup artist. She began her career in Cleveland, working on photo shoots for Higbees and May Co. Barbara also worked backstage for the Cleveland Ballet, the Cleveland Opera and the Cleveland Playhouse.
In 1987, she was asked to travel with the national touring company of the musical "Camelot" with Richard Harris doing wigs and makeup design.
She spent time in Europe in 1991, first in Munich, Germany with her fashion clients, and then in Paris, and finally Madrid to hone her hair and makeup skills.
After returning to Cleveland, she met and worked with Marlo Thomas while she performed at the Cleveland Playhouse. In 1992, Marlo invited her to go on tour with her doing "Six Degrees of Separation." She also encouraged Barbara to move to New York City.
Barbara got her opportunity in 1993, and moved to New York to pursue her career. There she studied, assisted and worked with world renowned and accomplished hair and makeup artists in the worlds of fashion and beauty. Barbara also worked backstage with supermodels at fashion shows and photo shoots for international magazines.
For the past 13 years, Barbara has developed her artistic skills, and is now nationally known.
Her work can be seen in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Vanity Fair Self, Fitness, InStyle, Marie Claire, New York Magazine, to name a few. Her celebrity clients include Gwyneth Paltrow, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Anniston, Mariska Hargitay, Kyra Sedgewick, Rosie O'Donnell, Eminem, Nathan Lane, Mathew Perry, Issac Hayes, Gregory Hines, Ben Vereen, Tim Robbins, among others.
